In this highly interactive role you will:

Continue a positive and effective relationship between sales and marketing
Communicate marketing strategies and tactics to the field sales force and return to the marketing team with the sales force's ideas and feedback
Assist in developing targeted strategies, programs and tactics at the grower and channel level to deliver a superior customer experience
Help drive sales and enhance profitability
This position reports to Western Canada Sales and Accounts Leader
The chosen candidate will be promotable to higher level account management, sales management or marketing positions within the company

Your work history will include:

Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Business or Marketing
Minimum 3-8 years field sales experience is ideal; any additional marketing experience is an asset
Strong customer focus with working knowledge of grower, retail and distribution decision making behaviour regarding the crop protection industry
Excellent problem solving/decision making, strategic and critical thinking, team work and planning/organizing skills
You enjoy working with people and possess strong presentation skills. You have the ability to listen, assist in solving problems, influence and motivate
Knowledge of principles of marketing segmentation, communication principles and techniques, including targeted advertising and direct marketing
Able to use market research effectively to understand local market dynamics, the competitive environment, the customer, and the channel

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Budget development and accountability for the farm business; identifying growth opportunities and making connections with experts for farm clients; in addition to overseeing client credit accounts and providing support for staff to address any ongoing issues with client credit and accounts receivable
Responsible to be the key developer of the Veritas business line; including sales of business consulting services to strengthen clients business practices
Achieving program growth through strategic marketing and sales strategies

We are looking for the following qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience leading a team in the agricultural sector
Demonstrated initiative and creative thinking
Ability to work autonomously and productively with minimal instruction
Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a small sales team
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing programs
A Business or Arts degree with a business focus or equivalent experience in a similar role
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Now, an upper management opportunity is available to provide leadership to the seed organization as:

Field Station Leader, Seed
South Western Ontario

Your responsibilities will include:

Combining a strong science background with exemplary management and people skills to lead and support three separate teams of scientific and technical staff,
Supporting and networking directly with the Research and Development Leader of Canada as well as regional crop leaders and breeding scientists to create an action plan encompassing all areas of administration, research and business for your sites,
Cultivating the human capital in your teams and supporting personal and professional growth,
Actively participate in global multi-disciplinary teams comprised of lab, field, parent seed, and management personnel to support station activities,
Oversee all crop breeding and agricultural research on the corn and soybean stations in Southern Ontario,
Become a strong and innovative leader through this role within the corn and soybean division of the company.

Qualifications:

Ph.D or MSc degree with experience in plant genetics, agronomy, crop sciences or other related agricultural discipline,
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and organize multiple teams,
Contribute leadership skills, ideas, and support for North American breeding initiatives including those relating to HR, EHS, Six-Sigma, and cross-functional teams,
Previous experience with a crop breeding program is desirable; soybean or other broadleaf crop preferred,
Must have enthusiasm and aptitude for continuous learning and development of critical research activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Project management within a team environment.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated management and development of people, ideally in a feed mill environment,
